# Behaviour & Trusty

The conduct score that makes good behaviour worth something.

Every inmate has a **conduct score (0–100, starting at 50)** that officers can see on the terminal and that directly shapes the inmate's stay.

## What moves it

| Event                 | Default delta |
| --------------------- | ------------- |
| Job completed         | +2            |
| Present at head count | +2            |
| Missed head count     | −8            |
| Timetable offence     | −5            |
| Write-up              | −10           |
| Contraband found      | −15           |
| Escape attempt        | −30           |
| Declined a visit      | −2            |
| Boundary breach       | −10           |

All weights live in `config/behaviour.lua`. Bigger swings are recorded to the inmate's file automatically.

## What it does

**Job rewards scale with conduct.** The reward multiplier runs from 0.5× at conduct 0 to 1.5× at conduct 100 — a model prisoner works off their sentence three times faster than a troublemaker.

## The trusty tier

At conduct **80+** an inmate becomes a **trusty**:

* **+15% job rewards** on top of the multiplier
* **Timetable exemption** — no enforcement punishments (configurable)
* **Commissary discount** (default 25%)

Trusty status shows as a tag on the terminal and updates live — one bad write-up can cost it.

```lua
Config.Behaviour = {
    start   = 50,
    multMin = 0.5,
    multMax = 1.5,
    trusty = {
        threshold = 80,
        rewardBonus = 0.15,
        ignoreTimetable = true,
        commissaryDiscount = true,
    },
}
```

Developers can read and modify conduct via the `GetBehaviour` / `SetBehaviour` / `AddBehaviour` exports — see the [Developer Guide](/mango5m-docs/resources/mango-prison/developer-guide/server-exports.md).
