# The Quick Call Window

F7 - the open call list, keyboard navigation, and the responder view.

`F7` toggles a compact list of the open calls. It never takes NUI focus - it is driven entirely by keys, so you can steer, shoot and run while it is up.

### Two modes

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Call list</strong></td><td>What you see when you are not on a call: the newest open calls, one highlighted.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>Responder view</strong></td><td>What it switches to the moment you respond: every unit on your call, with Primary marked.</td></tr></tbody></table>

You never have to switch between them - responding and clearing move you across automatically.

### The call list

Shows up to `Config.Dispatch.window.maxCalls` (default 4) open calls, newest first, each with its code, title, location, your own distance to it, and how many units are already responding. A call you are already on is marked as such.

| Key           | Does                            |
| ------------- | ------------------------------- |
| `Up` / `Down` | Move the highlight              |
| `Y`           | Respond to the highlighted call |
| `F7`          | Close the window                |

The highlight starts on the newest call and stays put across refreshes as long as that call is still open; when it is not, it drops back to the top of the list.

### The responder view

The moment you respond, the window switches to the unit list for **your** call: every responder's name, who is Primary, and which row is you.

| Key         | Does                                              |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| `Tab`       | Take Primary                                      |
| `Backspace` | Code 4 - clear the call                           |
| `N` | Cancel your response and go back to the call list |

{% hint style="info" %}
Responding **opens the window automatically** even if it was closed, so a unit that accepted from an alert card immediately sees who else is rolling.
{% endhint %}

### Refreshing

While the window is open it re-queries the server every `refreshSeconds` (default 5) - the loop exists only while it is open and stops the moment it closes. A closed window costs nothing.

### Reconnects and restarts

If you were responding to a call and the resource restarts or you rejoin, the client asks the server what you were on and restores it - the responder view and your blip and route come back on their own.

### Driving it from another resource

```lua
exports['mango_dispatch']:ToggleWindow()
exports['mango_dispatch']:IsResponding()   -- call id, or nil
```

Both are client exports, so a phone or tablet resource can open the same window rather than reimplementing it.
