# Running Standalone

What the panel is without a framework - and what it is not.

The panel needs a framework for exactly two things: **which groups a player holds**, and **where characters live**. Everything else it does is plain FiveM.

So with no framework it still runs — but the pages that read a framework's database have nothing to read, and they say so rather than showing an empty list that looks like an answer.

## What still works

Everything here is natives or the panel's own files:

|                                   |                                                                                     |
| --------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Players** | The roster, ping, every identifier they hold, when they joined, their mugshot |
| **Everything you do to a player** | Go to, bring, freeze, spectate, heal, revive, kill, kick, ban, call to Discord |
| **Your own tools** | Noclip, god mode, invisible, name tags, see-through-walls, health, armour, waypoint |
| **Vehicles in the world** | Spawn, delete, repair, wash, tune, colour, plate |
| **World** | Weather and time, set or frozen |
| **Live map** | Everyone on it, live |
| **Reports**                       | The panel's own store. Unaffected                                                   |
| **Bans and kicks** | The panel's own store, matched on identifiers. Unaffected |
| **Audit log**                     | The panel's own. Unaffected                                                         |
| **Honeypots** | Event, export, permission and entity decoys all work |
| **Performance**                   | Server metrics. Unaffected                                                          |
| **Resource protection** | The watchdog never touches a framework at all |

## What is empty, and why

| Page                  | Needs                                             | Without it                                                         |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Characters** | `oxmysql` **and** a recognisable framework schema | The page says the character module could not read a schema |
| **Owned vehicles** | The framework's vehicle table | The world list still works; the database list is empty and says so |
| **Economy** | Framework money columns | Says it could not read them |
| **Money give / take** | A framework to move it | The buttons report that this framework has no such account |
| **Inventory** | An inventory resource | See below |
| **Jail** | A jail script | The panel says it is not tracked |
| **Decoy items** | A readable inventory | The other four honeypot kinds are unaffected |

So yes — **standalone is players, their server ids and their identifiers**, plus everything you can do to a live player and everything the panel stores itself.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Inventories are detected separately from the framework.** `ox_inventory` and the others are found by resource state, not through a framework, so an inventory can be readable on a server with no framework at all. Whether that is useful depends on what your inventory is storing against.
{% endhint %}

## Getting access without a framework

`Config.AllowedGroups` normally matches a framework group, so with no framework there is nothing to match. Use either of the other two routes:

```cfg
add_ace group.admin mango_admin.access allow
```

{% code title="shared/config.lua" %}

```lua
Config.Owners = { 'license:0000000000000000000000000000000000000000' }
```

{% endcode %}

There is also a third: ace principals are honoured **on every framework, including none**, so a group name can be granted by ace and still drive role auto-assignment.

```cfg
add_ace group.admin mango_admin.group.admin allow
```

That makes the player count as being in the `admin` group, which any role with `groups = { 'admin' }` picks up.

## A framework that starts later

Detection is by resource state and is re-checked whenever anything asks, so a framework that starts **after** this resource is picked up without a restart. The info bar at the top of the panel shows what it found.
