# Quick Start

Open the panel, deal with a player, and see it land in the record.

## Open it

`/admin`, or **F10**. Players can rebind that in **Settings → Key Bindings** like any other keybind.

For something quick there is also the mini menu on **F11** (or `/adminmini`) — a small overlay driven entirely with the arrow keys, for when you do not want a full panel over the screen.

## Deal with somebody

### Find them

The **Online Players** list is always on the right. Search by name, part of a name, or server id.

### Open their profile

Click their name. You get their characters, their vehicles, their money, their warnings, their ban and kick history, and every identifier they hold.

### Do something

**Go to**, **Bring**, **Spectate**, **Freeze**, **Heal**, **Kick**, **Ban** — whatever your role allows. Buttons you do not have permission for are not drawn at all, so the panel never offers you something it would then refuse.

### See it recorded

Open **Audit Log**. Your action is there with your name against it, the player it was done to, and the time.

## Set up your staff

Open **Roles**. Four roles are there already:

| Role                | Can do                            | Longest ban |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------- | ----------- |
| **Owner**           | Everything                        | Unlimited   |
| **Admin**           | Runs the server day to day        | 30 days     |
| **Moderator**       | Players and reports               | 7 days      |
| **Trial Moderator** | Observe, steady a situation, kick | None        |

**Three permissions are deliberately owner-only**, because they are not really permissions so much as the ability to grant yourself every other one: changing what a role may do, putting people into roles, and switching the guard off. Think hard before you move any of them down the ladder.

## Check the guard is running

Both resources should report **started** on the panel's **Resources** page, and the guard prints a line to the server console naming the resource it is guarding. Stop the panel once from the console: it comes back on its own, and the stop is in **Audit Log → Watchdog**.

Then try it: `stop mango_admin` in your console. It comes back on its own within a couple of seconds, your staff get a warning, and an incident appears on that page naming how it was stopped.
