# The Panel

How the panel is laid out, and the mini menu for when you do not want all of it.

The panel is styled after the FiveM launcher, so it reads as part of the game rather than a web page bolted on.

| Part               | What it is                                                                           |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Sidebar** | Your tabs, grouped. Only the ones you have permission for |
| **Title bar** | Search, notifications, recent activity, announcements, and the tour |
| **Server header** | Your server's name, how long it has been up, condition, player count, queue and ping |
| **Info bar** | Framework, build, artifacts, OneSync and database, all detected |
| **Online Players** | Always on the right: search, sort, and one click to a profile |

## The dashboard

Widgets you can rearrange — press the slider icon next to **Dashboard**, drag them where you want them, and the layout is saved **per person** against your identifier. Your dashboard is yours; it does not change anybody else's.

## Rearranging the sidebar

The same idea for the tabs themselves: the slider icon next to **Settings** lets you drag tabs between groups, rename groups and remove them. Saved per person, in your own browser storage.

## The mini menu

**F11**, or `/adminmini`. A compact overlay that opens without the panel, driven entirely with the arrow keys. It has a page of its own: [The Mini Menu](/mango5m-docs/resources/mango-admin/features/the-mini-menu.md).

## Search

The box in the title bar searches **everything the panel knows**, grouped by what it found:

| Group              | Matches on                                             |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Online players** | Name, server ID, any identifier |
| **Players** | Accounts that have connected before and are not on now |
| **Characters** | Character name, citizen ID, job |
| **Ban IDs** | The ban number, who it hit, the reason, an identifier |
| **Report IDs** | The report number, who opened it, what it says |
| **Vehicles**       | Plate, model, owner                                    |

Type a number and the player holding that **server ID** comes first — `2`, `#2` and `id 2` all work. Arrow keys move through the results, Enter opens one, Escape closes the list without closing the panel.

A group you have no permission to open is not offered at all, so the search never leads anywhere the panel would then refuse.

## Announcing something

The megaphone in the title bar sends a message to everybody on the server, with a choice of how long it stays on screen. It needs `server.announce`, and it goes in the audit log like anything else.

## The tour

The **?** in the title bar opens a guided tour that highlights each part of the panel in turn. It runs by itself the first time a staff member opens the panel and is remembered per person after that, but the **?** always reopens it.

A step whose subject that person cannot see is left out, so a moderator's tour is shorter than an owner's rather than pointing at things that are not there.

{% code title="shared/config.lua" %}

```lua
Config.Tutorial = { firstRun = true }   -- false: staff find the ? themselves
```

{% endcode %}

## Your own preferences

**Settings** carries a set of choices that are yours alone and stored on your own computer — they never change anybody else's panel:

|                              |                                                                                                         |
| ---------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Page to open on** | Where the panel lands when you open it |
| **Size when it opens** | Shrunk, or filling the screen |
| **Players list sort** | What the list beside every page starts on |
| **Live map** | Whether names show, and how often blips move |
| **Mini menu** | Which side it opens on, and [its layout](/mango5m-docs/resources/mango-admin/features/the-mini-menu.md) |
| **Recent activity, Reports** | Which kinds of thing you want to hear about |
