# Installation

Add the resource to your server and start it in the right order.

## Requirements

| Resource                   | Required | Used for                                      |
| -------------------------- | -------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| `oxmysql`                  | **Yes**  | Saving progress                               |
| ESX Legacy / QBCore / Qbox | No       | Auto-detected. Without one it runs standalone |
| `mango_notify`             | No       | Preferred notification style                  |
| `ox_lib`                   | No       | Notification fallback                         |
| `ox_inventory`             | No       | Item rewards                                  |

Everything except `oxmysql` degrades gracefully. If a preferred option is missing, the resource falls back to the next one and says so once in the console.

## Steps

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Add the resource

Drop the `mango_achievements` folder into your resources directory.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Start it after your framework

In `server.cfg`, below your framework and `oxmysql`:

```cfg
ensure oxmysql
ensure mango_achievements
```

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Give yourself admin rights

```cfg
add_ace group.admin mango_achievements.admin allow
```

Framework admin groups work too — see [Commands](/mango5m-docs/resources/mango-achievements/reference/commands.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Restart and check the console

```
[mango_achievements] ready — 41 achievements, 2340 points, framework: esx
```

That line confirms the database tables were created and your framework was detected.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## The database

There is no SQL to import. The two tables build themselves on first start.

{% hint style="info" %}
An `install.sql` is included if your database user has no permission to create tables. Import it by hand, then set `Config.Database.autoMigrate = false`.
{% endhint %}

## Adding files later

FiveM only re-reads a resource's manifest on `refresh`. If you ever add files to the resource:

```
refresh
restart mango_achievements
```

A plain `restart` reloads only the files the manifest was already known to contain.
