# Escrow and Editable Files

Which files you can edit, and which ones are encrypted.

Mango Achievements ships through Cfx.re asset escrow. The files you are expected to edit are left open; the rest is encrypted and runs only on a server that owns the resource.

## Open files

| `config/integrations.lua` | Point the resource at your prison, police, EMS, robbery and job events                                                                                |
| `locales/*.lua`           | Translate every string the interface shows                                                                                                            |
| `bridge/*.lua`            | Wire in a custom framework, inventory or notification resource                                                                                        |

The bridge files are deliberately open. If you run an inventory or notify resource we do not ship an adapter for, you can add one yourself instead of waiting on us.

## Never encrypted

Escrow only encrypts scripts. Everything under `web/` (the menu, the popups and the icons), `install.sql` and `achievement-setup.html` is plain and always readable, whatever the manifest says.

## Encrypted

`client/`, `server/` and `shared/` are escrowed. Nothing you need to change lives there.

Need a hook that only exists inside an escrowed file? Ask on Discord rather than working around it. Most requests turn into an export or an event in the next update, which keeps your change safe across versions.

## Adding files later

FiveM only re-reads a resource's manifest on `refresh`. If you add a locale or a bridge file, run `refresh` before `restart mango_achievements`.

Every file in the resource starts with a link back to these docs, so whoever opens it next knows where to look.
