# Unlock Popups

The celebration toast, and how to test it without earning anything.

Every unlock lands as a toast: the award artwork, its name and description, the points earned and any reward.

The card drops in with a burst of light behind the icon, a spray of particles coloured to the award's rarity — more of them for rarer awards — the points counting up, and a bar along the bottom draining over the toast's lifetime so players can see how long it will stay.

A hidden award announces itself as *Hidden award unlocked*.

## Testing it

```
/achievementtest                    a random award
/achievementtest repeat_offender    a specific one
/achievementtest legendary          a random award of that rarity
```

This runs the genuine presentation — popup, sound and celebration animation — for a real award, entirely on your own screen. Nothing is sent to the server, so progress, rewards and the database are untouched and nobody else sees it.

{% hint style="success" %}
Safe to leave enabled on a live server. To test the **server** side instead — progress, rewards, saving — use `/achievementgive`.
{% endhint %}

## Turning it down

Set `Config.Notify.useCustomPopup = false` to route unlocks through your own notification resource instead, or `notify = false` on an individual award to unlock it silently.

See [Notifications and Popups](/mango5m-docs/resources/mango-achievements/configuration/notifications-and-popups.md) for position, duration and the quiet-on-join window.
