# Installation

Install Mango Positions — requirements, server.cfg and permissions.

## Requirements

| Required                                   | Why                                |
| ------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------- |
| [ox\_lib](https://overextended.dev/ox_lib) | Clipboard access and notifications |

No framework, no database, no inventory — it works the same on ESX, QBCore, Qbox or a bare server.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Drop it in

Place the `mango_positions` folder in your resources directory — `[standalone]` is a sensible home for it.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add it to server.cfg

After ox\_lib:

```cfg
ensure ox_lib
ensure mango_positions
```

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Grant yourself the command

The tool is ace-restricted by default, so nothing works until you allow yourself. **One line, and it covers all three tools:**

```cfg
add_ace group.admin command.mpos allow
```

The resource prints the exact line you need on startup:

```
[mango_positions] /mpos ready — restricted to group.admin.
    add_ace group.admin command.mpos allow
```

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Test it

In-game — not the server console — run:

```
/mpos
```

A transparent copy of your ped appears in front of you, with a panel on the right showing live coordinates and heading. Move it with `WASD`, press `ENTER` to copy, `ESC` to close.

Then press `2` and `3` to switch to the prop and fit tools without closing.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## One command, three tools

`/mpos` is the only command. Once the panel is up, the number keys move between the tools:

| Key | Tool | For                                                    |
| --- | ---- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| `1` | Ped | One coordinate and a heading, posed as it will be used |
| `2` | Prop | Laying out several props and copying the whole list |
| `3` | Fit  | An attach offset — a body on a bed, trolley or seat    |

{% hint style="info" %}
Prefer a command per tool? `Config.PropCommand` and `Config.FitCommand` are `false` by default — give either one a name and it registers under the same ace as `/mpos`.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Setting `Config.Restricted = false` lets **everyone** on your server open the tools. That is fine on a private development server and a bad idea on a live one — see [Configuration](/mango5m-docs/free-resources/mango-positions/configuration.md).
{% endhint %}
