# Test Command

The built-in /mnotify command — preview every notification style in game.

`/mnotify` previews notification styles in game — useful while tuning `config.lua` and for verifying a fresh install.

The command is **disabled by default**. Enable it in `config.lua` and restart the resource:

```lua
Config.EnableTestCommand = true
```

```
/mnotify [variant]
```

| Variant                                  | Shows                                                                                               |
| ---------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| *(none)* / `all` | Success, error, warning, info, both money directions, and a dispatch card with badge + progress bar |
| `success` / `error` / `warning` / `info` | That single type                                                                                    |
| `money`                                  | Money received and money paid                                                                       |
| `dispatch`                               | A full dispatch card — badge, location, description, distance, progress                             |
| `progress`                               | A timed progress-bar notification                                                                   |
| `persistent`                             | A `duration = 0` notification that stays until cleared                                              |
| `queue`                                  | Floods past `MaxNotifications`, plus a gold `priority = 10` notification that jumps the queue       |
| `update`                                 | A live update demo — a download counts 0 → 100%, then flips to a success notification               |
| `positions` | One notification in each of the nine screen positions |
| `size`                                   | Default, wide (480px), and narrow + tall (240 × 110) side by side                                   |
| `theme` | The police, EMS, and light themes side by side |
| `clear` | Removes everything on screen (and the queue) |

## Prompt previews

`/promptrest` previews [Interactive Prompts](/mango5m-docs/free-resources/mango-notify/developer-guide/interactive-prompts.md) and prints the result to the client console.

```
/promptrest [variant]
```

| Variant  | Shows                                                                                  |
| -------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| *(none)* | A two-action trade request — `E` to accept, `X` to decline                             |
| `stack` | Three prompts at once, so you can watch the newest hold the keys and the rest grey out |
| `await`  | The `promptAwait` version, driven from a coroutine                                     |

Each one prints the chosen value (or `nil` on a timeout) to the console and echoes it back as a notification. `/promptrest` uses the same `Config.EnableTestCommand` switch as `/mnotify`.

{% hint style="info" %}
The command is registered client-side and does not touch the server. With `Config.EnableTestCommand = false` (the default) it is never registered at all, so there is nothing for players to discover on a live server.
{% endhint %}
