# Installation

Install Mango Notify — files and server.cfg — in three steps.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Add the resource

Drop the `mango_notify` folder into your server's `resources` directory.

{% hint style="danger" %}
The folder **must** be named `mango_notify` exactly. FiveM binds exports to the folder name — every script that calls `exports.mango_notify:Notify(...)` breaks if the folder is renamed.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add to server.cfg

```
ensure mango_notify
```

Mango Notify is standalone: it does not depend on oxmysql, a framework, or any other resource, so its position in the start order only matters in one way — start it **before** any resource that sends notifications on startup.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Start and verify

Restart the server (or `refresh` then `ensure mango_notify` from the console). To preview the styles in game, enable the test command in `config.lua`:

```lua
Config.EnableTestCommand = true
```

then `restart mango_notify` and run:

```
/mnotify
```

You should see the full set — success, error, warning, info, both money directions, and a dispatch card with a badge and progress bar. See Test Command for every variant. The command ships **disabled** by default — turn it back off once you're happy.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Requirements

|                  |                                                                   |
| ---------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Framework** | None required — works with ESX, QBCore, Qbox, or fully standalone |
| **Database**     | None                                                              |
| **Dependencies** | None                                                              |
| **Artifacts** | Any reasonably recent FiveM server build |

{% hint style="success" %}
**Nothing is loaded from the internet.** The Inter font and Font Awesome icons ship inside the resource, so the UI renders identically for a player behind a restrictive network or during a CDN outage — no setup, no fallback squares.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
`restart mango_notify` is always safe on a live server — notifications on screen are cleared and new ones work immediately.
{% endhint %}
